The Lead Teacher is responsible for the management of their assigned classroom ensuring the development and safety of the children in their care. The Lead Teacher will be an active participant in working with the children’s learning process through curriculum development and implementation under the Director’s direction. The Lead Teacher will foster an environment where children will learn through a mix self-directed activities and structured activities. The Lead Teacher is an ambassador of the school and is expected to actively interact with the parents making sure that they feel welcomed and a part of our organization. The Lead Teacher will also direct and supervise the activities for the Teacher’s Assistant and Teacher’s Aide if present in the classroom. Only candidates with CDA or Associates Degree or higher or the equivalent experience will be considered for the Lead Teacher position.
The Teacher’s assistant is responsible for assisting the Lead teacher to plan activities for children, such as storytelling or art projects. Teacher’s assistant helps feed and change children, and generally provide one-on-one attention when needed. She must help organize and clean the classroom and assist with intellectual activities for children, per the Lead teacher's requests.
