The Mind and Body Kids Preschool Difference

Experienced Leadership

Andrea  Spangler, Director/Owner has been working with preschool aged children for 28 years.  She has a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Child Psychology.  Yvonne Greenfield, our Assistant Director, has a Bachelor's Degree and over 25 years of early childhood experience.

Child Centric Focus

Our program involves a learn through play philosophy that allows the child to initiate activities of their interest and learn at their own pace.  During the year the children are provided opportunities to experience the opera, hatching chicks, gardening, and many other special activities.

Specialized Facilities

Our facility includes an indoor gym/sensory room as we are focused on developing the gross and fine motor skills as well as cognitive skills of your child. Research shows that physical activities are not only good for the body, but develop the mind as well.  We also have a science room that is utilized daily by all age groups.

Experienced Teachers

Our lead teachers are all educated in Early Childhood Education with years of experience working with preschool aged children.  Our staffing currently includes 3 Master's Degrees and 3 Bachelor's Degrees.

We are an Early Childhood Education Center

During the hours of 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, we operate as a curriculum based school.   Unlike other early childhood education centers, we do not charge extra for the extended childcare hours (we are open from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm).

Parental Involvment is Valued

Parental involvement and communication is a key priority for our education center. Regular events are held where parents will see their child’s progress including four offsite family events during the school year.

Annual Survey Results

As we hit our 3 year anniversary, we asked our parents to give us feedback on how we were doing.   The results were encouraging with an overall satisfaction rating of 95.65% (70% Extremely Satisfied) .    Over 97% of our children were expected to return for the next school year.
